Sejal has pursued her passion for interior design and uses her skills to help her family's business flourish.

Sejal Kataria is a budding interior designer based in Udaipur.

Sejal was born in Udaipur and completed her studies in Mumbai. She took her interior design course at the Pearl Academy. She is currently working with her father in the marble industry as a sculpture designer. She was inclined toward design from the very beginning. Whenever she sees any place, she visualizes how she would have designed its interior.

Sejal studied at a convent school. She says that as it was an all-girls school, she had a shy nature from the beginning, and that proved a hurdle for her multiple times in her life. However, after moving to Mumbai, she changed a lot due to the environment around her, which helped her open up and become an extrovert. She faced a lot of struggle in her time in Mumbai as she grew up in a joint family, was the youngest and most pampered child in her family, and didn't have to do any sort of work, which proved an issue in Mumbai as she had to do everything on her own.

During the COVID-19 outbreak, Sejal came back to Udaipur and did not like the slow life here. However, she had an overwhelming experience as she came into contact with many people. Later, she joined her father's company.

As for her interests, Sejal loves adventurous experiences like hiking, trekking, etc. Even during the lockdown in Udaipur, she and her brother used to do adventurous things, which served as good memories for her.

Sejal says that in the interior design business, aesthetics are important, but functionality is also important, as there is no point in holding onto beautiful stuff in your home without any of its functionality.

For Sejal, her father has always been a role model, as he always motivates her and tells her that whatever hard work her father did when he was young, she also might have to do in her coming stages of life, and she must always be prepared for the situations of her life.
