Seema Yadav is a martial arts trainer. She teaches self-defense and fitness to children and women.
Seema was born in a small village in Alwar. However, she was raised and educated in Neemuch as her father was posted there. After completing her schooling from Neemuch, she did her B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Mira Girls College in Udaipur.
Seema shares that from childhood itself she had been interested in watching action movies and learning martial arts. She even represented her school in a national-level Taekwondo competition. During her masters, she started learning martial arts full-time. Initially, she learned martial arts at her college. And later, she did a three-year-long course on Martial Arts and also achieved a black belt in it. Thereafter, gradually, she took to martial arts as her profession.
Sharing her COVID experience, Seema says that she had to struggle financially during the pandemic as, due to the pandemic, she could not conduct her martial arts classes physically. She even had to move back to her hometown owing to her financial condition. However, later, she started teaching martial arts online. Initially, she faced some challenges as children would not be able to catch the moves correctly. But she just kept going and today she teaches martial arts online to students from all over the country.
When asked about her role models, Seem says that Sensei Bruce Lee is her role model. Besides, all those sportswomen, who did something exemplary in their fields, also inspire her whenever she feels bogged down in life.
Talking about her achievements, Seema shares that her school awarded her with a trophy for participating in a national-level Taekwondo tournament. Besides, she also represented her college in a national-level Judo championship. Furthermore, she has also played Karate, Taekwondo, and Wushu at the national level.
Talking about her struggles, Seema says that initially, it would be very tough for her to manage her expenses for her studies and martial arts training as she would get limited money from her family. She says she lacked support from her parents. But, she didn’t give up and continued learning martial arts and today, she is doing really well for herself as a martial arts trainer.
To people, her message is to always believe in themselves and do wholeheartedly what they do to get good results.
