After a stumbling block in her career, Sayali gave a twist to her professional journey. It helped her and at present she is working as a Software Developer at a renowned IT company in Pune.

Sayali Gaikwad is working as a Software Developer at Ecolab Pvt Ltd, Pune. She has been working in the IT sector for the past two-and-a-half years.

Sayali was born and brought up in Pune, Maharashtra. She did her schooling from Bharati Vidyapeeth English Medium High School, Pune. She did her Computer Engineering from Sinhgad Institute, Pune. She started her IT career with her first job in Accenture.

Regarding her professional journey, Sayali says that she never planned to become a Computer Engineer. She says that having a computer at home since childhood, she had interest in it. Also, being a studious person throughout and scoring well in her Boards, she thought of pursuing Computer Engineering further. Since her first job, she developed a knack for coding and other languages. Therefore, she progressed in her field.

Recalling her childhood memories, Sayali cherishes her fun moments and says that she used to play many outdoor games in her neighborhood.

Sayali considers her grandmother as her role model as she taught her to always keep moving forward and work hard in life. Her friends are also her role models to keep on pushing her, supporting her in every situation and rejoicing at every achievement of hers.

Talking about her struggles, Sayali says that major struggles of her life started from her work life. She felt low-spirited because of the fluctuating shift timing of the project she was put in and it caused health issues to her. Bothered by her job, she quit it and did a diploma course in Data Science. It proved to be a turning point for her as she ended up taking a job she wanted and making progress day by day.

When asked about her achievements, Sayali says that being rewarded by her bosses and managers for her work, during her performance appraisal was the biggest achievement for her.

About her Covid experience, Sayali says that shortly before Covid struck, she got her new job. Soon, the lockdown was imposed in the country and people were losing their jobs, then she also panicked and got scared of losing hers. But she was fortunate enough to retain it and is still working in that company.

If Sayali had a Time Machine, she would like to go back to her childhood and relive the moments with her mother.

In her spare time, Sayali enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Also, she likes visiting her village and spending time there. Sometimes, she likes to read too.

Those who are starting their career, Sayali advises them to first of all decide your field and follow your instinct to do what you want to do.
