An associate professor, Saurabh specializes in mechanical engineering. He believes in honesty, maintaining trust, and fostering integrity in a healthy work environment.

Dr. Saurabh Tege is an Associate Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Geetanjali Institute of Technical Studies in Udaipur.

Saurabh completed most of his schooling in Kendriya Vidyalaya and his senior secondary from Madhya Pradesh Board of Education. Then he joined MIT, Mandsaur where he completed his B.Tech.in 2008. For his MTech, he chose Institute of Engineering and Technology, Indore. In 2021, he received his PhD. degree from a renowned university.

Reminiscing about his childhood, Saurabh shares a memory of his school days, when he and his friends used to deflate the bicycle tires of their school students for fun. One day, one of their friends was caught by the teachers and given a strict punishment. This incident made him realize the consequences of his actions and made him stop engaging in such mischievous behavior. He decided to turn over a new leaf and focus on his studies and other sports activities for fun.

If he gets a time machine to go back in time, Saurabh would go back to the time of his tenth grade board exams, when he fell severely ill.  Though, despite the illness, he did well in his exams due to his hard work and persistence, he would change it and would try to do even better.

Saurabh says in his profession, the most challenging aspect is staying up to date with the latest technology and industry trends. To teach students effectively, professors must be knowledgeable about the subject and have effective teaching strategies. It is essential for them to constantly learn and adapt to new teaching methodologies and technologies, as well as stay updated with the latest research and advancements in their field.

In his free time, Saurabh likes to read, listen to songs or spend time with his family.

In Saurabh’s opinion, both education and experience are necessary to excel in a career. He believes that a strong educational foundation provides the necessary theoretical knowledge, while practical experience helps you apply that knowledge effectively in real-world scenarios. Saurabh regrets that, though he was interested in developing his skills and learning new technologies in his desired field, due to some circumstances he didn't get the opportunity to do so. However, he remains hopeful that he will be able to pursue his passion in future and make up for lost time. Saurabh believes that setbacks are temporary and is determined to continue working towards his goals.

Saurabh gets inspired by the quote of Sir Jagdish Chandra Bose, “The true laboratory is the mind, where behind illusions we uncover the laws of truth.”

As his role models, Saurabh looks up to his parents. His mother used to handle household duties because his father, an army official, used to be constantly out in the field. Saurabh greatly admires his parents for their dedication and hard work.

Saurabh advises the youth to be honest with the organization with which they are associated in any way. Being honest not only builds trust but also ensures a positive work environment. It is essential for the growth and success of both the individual and the organization.
