Always look at your positives and keep an eye for opportunities.
Satya Prakash belongs to a small town in Jharkhand.
He studied at St. Xavier's school, which offered him a perfect blend of academics and co-curricular activities. This is when his interest in Dance and Fitness came to the forefront. Recognizing his passion, Satya took up training at a number of places, including Delhi, Pune, and Mumbai, for five years before starting his own venture. Satya is the owner of Studio 19, a Dance and Fitness center based in Pune.
Satya’s finest memories are of his school days. He shifted to Pune in 2018 to pursue his Bachelors in Mass Communication and Journalism at Punjab University. Throughout his educational journey, Satya focused on keeping himself physically fit by hitting the gym, which in turn boosted his confidence. He utilized his evenings better by joining a Dance studio to undergo professional training in Dance. After completing a year’s training, Satya shifted to Delhi to get better exposure in the fields of Art and Theater.
Satya says that his family initially did not support him making a career in Dance and Theater. His biggest struggle was to convince his family to let him pursue his interests. Satya had always been less academically inclined and more interested in creative fields such as Dance and Fitness. He also enjoyed Cricket and football when he was younger. Satya luckily got the right people in his life who motivated him in the right direction.
When Satya ventured on his dance journey, he already had a name in the market and many students already knew him. His real challenge began after opening his own studio and making it work while gaining a market stand. He aims to carry his goodwill forward that he has earned in the past few years. His achievement lies in the respect and trust that his students have shown in him and his profession as a dance teacher.
Satya advises aspiring entrepreneurs to be passionate and never indulge in small talk. He adds that if you work for your happiness, keeping in mind the vision of your business, then you won’t feel tired even for a single day. Satya suggests everyone to always remember why they started their journey in the first place.
Satya believes in the fact that there is no shortcut to success and urges the youth to become a better version of themselves with every passing day. He says that consistency, persistence, and patience are the qualities which we all should inculcate.
