Satish Chandra is a Tirth Purohit who studied different Vedas from the gurus in Pushkar. He talks about the famous and religious places of Pushkar and explains the importance of the holy place.

Satish Chand Tiwari is a Tirth Purohit at Kurmanchal Ghat, Pushkar.

Satish says that four things have been prescribed for a human in the Vedas - Dharma, Artha, Kama, and Moksha. He explains the meaning and importance of the four objectives of human life.

Satish says that he belongs to Pushkar and completed his entire education there itself. He passed his 11th standard from Government Secondary School, Pushkar and studied Vedas from different Gurus in Pushkar. Thereafter, he started working as a Tirth Purohit, he says.

Recalling his childhood memories, Satish says that during his childhood fewer tourists used to visit Pushkar, and it was difficult to earn. However, with the help of the media and the government, nowadays, more tourists visit the city and he has been earning a good amount.

Sharing about his COVID experiences, Satish says that fewer tourists were visiting Pushkar during the pandemic, and it was a bit difficult to survive. However, the situation improved after COVID.

Sharing his views about the holy place of Pushkar, Satish says that Pushkar is considered to be the pilgrimage place of Lord Brahma. Satish says that Lord Brahma had established Pushkar in Satyuga to show kindness to humans and further explains the history and importance of the holy city.

Talking about his role models, Satish says that his parents have been his teachers throughout.

To the young Tirth Purohits, Satish advises them to treat every pilgrim with kindness and give them intimacy so that he does not feel away from the home. Therein lies the greatness of priesthood.
