Sarita Jain is working as an Assistant Professor at the Vidya Bhawan Gandhian Institute of Educational Studies. She has been working for the past fifteen years in the field of teaching. She holds an M.A. in Sanskrit and also an MA in Hindi Literature along with Phd.
Remembering her childhood, Sarita says that it was filled with wonderful memories. She says that competing with her friends to collect offerings from all the temples of worship close to her home, whether they were Hindu, Jain, or even a mosque, is one of her favorite childhood memories. She believes that during her early years, the foundations of secularism were implanted in her. Eating kulfi and enjoying her summer vacations are among the things she still cherishes.
Sarita says that she does two jobs-teaching and being a radio jockey at All India Radio. She says that both her jobs complement each other. When she is teaching in the class, the effect of her anchoring can be seen, due to which it becomes easy to engage the children in the class. She loves both her professions very much.
Sarita says that her mother has been her source of inspiration. Her mother always encouraged her a lot and taught her to face the world with courage.
Remembering the days of her struggles, Sarita recalls how difficult those times were and how, when she had to travel from a small village like Bhinder to study in Udaipur, she wondered when they would be over. However, she never lost courage and took part in every competition during her final year of college, winning first place in each one. She feels incredibly proud of herself when she thinks back on her struggles.
Speaking of her accomplishments, Sarita mentions that she had the chance to host government programs while hosting All India Radio. In addition to this, she also wrote a book in Rajasthani, which was published and received favorable reviews.
Sharing her COVID experience, Sarita describes her time during the pandemic as a unique learning opportunity for her as a teacher. She says that the online teaching experience has been challenging. She says that it was very difficult to keep the students engaged in the class in the online mode, but she made it possible by trying hard.
Sarita advises youngsters to always be prepared with a plan A and B for their careers. If a strategy is not carried out as desired, students shouldn't be discouraged and should instead give their career direction based on Plan B.
