Sanjit Chohan has been running Udaipur Blog, a social media page, for the past twelve years now. He started with an aim of promoting Udaipur and its activities, and now he also promotes small businesses and shares latest news and information with people through the medium of his page.

Sanjit hails from Udaipur itself. He acquired his primary education from St. Anthony’s School. He started his venture while he was in school, where the seeds of social media marketing and digital marketing were sown into him. He then joined Techno India NJR for his graduation. Both his school and college were very supportive of him and he feels it played a very major role in nurturing him to be what he is today.

Sanjit started as a graphics freelancer in his senior secondary. He always wanted to connect with people but he never had enough reach. That is how the idea of starting a blog came to his mind. Looking at the prominence of social media, he jumped into the field. Initially, he started with an Orkut account and as the technology kept progressing, he kept growing his reach with various platforms like Facebook and Instagram. He was always very eager to adopt new technologies which gave him an edge over his competition.

During the pandemic, Sanjit had to face a little trouble as all the businesses had to be shut down, but his outreach multiplied two folds, as more and more people started using social media as a medium to acquire all the information. He also started a Whatsapp group to spread all the latest news and information about the Covid-19 virus, coming straight from the chief medical health officer, to provide credible and genuine updates on the latest cases of the virus. Sanjit wanted to do something for the society and he saw the pandemic as a golden opportunity to do so. He saw that his page was making an impact and people had expectations, and he delivered with all his will.

For youngsters trying their luck in digital marketing, Sanjit would like to suggest them to try taking up internships at different firms and places. This would help them to learn new and different things and grow, as every company has a different style of approaching things. He would advise them not to have big expectations right from the very start, and build their way up from scratch. He thinks there are a lot of websites where they can learn digital marketing online but he would recommend them to find a good mentor because digital marketing sees new changes every day and a mentor who is well aware of those changes can prove critical in learning.

As of now, Sanjit has also started distinct pages for Jaipur, Ahmedabad and Rajkot, and they have been six years in their functioning and doing well.

Sanjit feels his college and school played a major role in his upbringing and nurturing. His college taught him discipline and time management, which was very helpful for him after he started working himself. He is thankful to his school and college for teaching him the paramount fundamentals of life.

His role model in life has been Sabri Suby, a well-known digital marketer. He always looks forward to walking in his footsteps and following him. His parents are also his role models in life because they have achieved a lot of things in his life which motivates him.

Even if he could go back in time, Sanjit would not like to change anything in life as he is content with what he is today.

In his free time, Sanjit likes to connect with new and different people. He also loves to travel and has visited many places in India as well as abroad. He says traveling is all about learning and experiencing new things. He believes whatever you are doing in life, the whole point is to find time for yourself, do it with all your heart and enjoy it.
