The first school is the school of life.
Sanjay Kumar Jain used to run his own coaching classes by the name ‘S.K. Jain Classes' which he has recently merged with the famous Badala Classes becoming the prime faculty of Mathematics there. He has an enormous 30 years of experience in teaching.
Sanjay Kumar Jain comes from Udaipur, Rajasthan. He was an average student during his school years but once he heard a quote from a celebrity that said ‘enjoy whatever you are doing’. Sanjay was so moved by this quote that he started enjoying his studies and gradually he also got better at it, especially at Maths.
Sanjay has taught more than 10,000 students in his 30 years long career. He says he still learns and will keep learning as it is a never ending subject. He has been conferred with several awards for his service in the education field by various foundations and think-tanks like the Vivekananda Society, and has also earned the Lifetime Achievement Award from Badala Classes.
During the COVID period, the education industry suffered hugely. But Sanjay didn’t take this as a burden and continued teaching with whatever resources were available. He learned the use of and implemented technology in his teaching and digitized the coaching for some time. He says it was a good time of learning and his students also had fun.
Sanjay says that if anyone wants to come into the field of teaching, they should try to learn from life and implement that in their teaching. He also adds that academic qualification and knowledge of your subject is also an important aspect of being a good teacher.
Sanjay’s personal style of teaching is to take every student together and treat everyone the same way so that everyone may get the best of him. He doesn't believe in discriminating between students, and according to him, this is what leadership means.
He cites the example of amazing traditional architecture of Udaipur city to say that experience is a vital aspect of knowledge.
The credit for Sanjay’s success story goes to his late mother who dreamt of her son joining the education field. And it is her wish that Sanjay fulfilled and has now established himself as a renowned Mathematics Teacher. He considers his mother to be his role model.
Sanjay follows a simple yet effective success mantra - ‘there is no shortcut to success’.
