Overcoming initial struggles, Sandesh has built a successful business of eco-friendly container homes, which are preferred by travelers.

Sandesh More is a Civil Engineer. He has been running his company called ‘MeBox’ since 2016. He says that he is a solo traveler who does off-road traveling and biking to unexplored places and camping in remote areas. While doing all this, he thought of building some compact living housing thing which was at the same time environmentally friendly. That’s how he ended up starting his company of making container homes. Till now, he has done four such projects and has himself lived in a container home for a year.

Sandesh belongs to Pune. He did his engineering from Symbiosis, Pune. He always wanted to do something eco-friendly, due to which he started ‘MeBox.’

Talking about his role models, Sandesh says he considers Sant Tukaram Maharaj as his role model. Also, he spent his life helping the human race and doing good to  society. He also draws inspiration from Bhagavad Gita.

Talking about his struggles, Sandesh says that he faced several challenges in the initial days of his startup. People were skeptical about purchasing a container home for it being an unnecessary expenditure. So it took him a long time to make people understand the benefits of eco-friendly container homes.

Sandesh believes that between education and experience, education is necessary only upto a basic level because after all you have to live a practical life. And then only your experience matters which can take you a long way ahead.

In his spare time, Sandesh loves traveling to remote and unexplored places. He also enjoys off-roading, trekking, camping, mountaineering and doing adventurous things.

While advising everyone, Sandesh says that you should buy only those things which are necessary in some or the other way. He says that due to the increase in spending capacity of people, inflation is touching the heights. That ultimately leads to unmanageable wastage and hence causes global warming. He requests everyone to live a minimalist life.

Whoever wants to come into this container home business, Sandesh advises that you should not be completely dependent on this business as a whole and sole earning source. Further he says that you must have some other primary business to earn your regular income.
