A corporate professional turned passionate educator, Samridhi started with just four students and is now teaching seventy students in ten batches. Known for her interactive and creative approach, she emphasises holistic education.

Samridhi Verma is a teacher at ‘Young Minds by Samridhi’. She is an MBA and had dedicated four years to working at 'Aon' before embarking on her true passion for educating young minds.

Samridhi says that she started teaching online during COVID times with just four students, and today she is running ten batches with a total strength of seventy children. Initially, she used to teach everything from science to the arts, but now she concentrates on painting and drawing. She is even running a ‘Mothers’ Batch’ where all the mothers get together and paint every Saturday. She shares that kids also enjoy her interactive and creative sessions and never miss a day. Samridhi says that there were times when her internet used to falter, but the kids would not leave and would wait for her to return.

Samridhi finds immense fulfilment in teaching, a sentiment she never experienced in her corporate career. Her diverse classes, which include dance, yoga, art, storytelling, and cooking, are a testament to her commitment to providing a holistic learning experience. Samridhi attributes her success to her unwavering dedication and connection with her students, emphasising the importance of giving her all in every class.

When she transitioned from the corporate sector to teaching after the birth of her child, Samridhi's friends noticed her natural affinity for working with children. Encouraged by their suggestions, she ventured into online teaching during the pandemic, relying solely on word-of-mouth recommendations. Her genuine passion for teaching, coupled with her students' positive responses, has led to a steady increase in her class size.

Recognising the value of formal education, Samridhi pursued a certification course from Trinity College, London, and is currently in her second year of a B.Ed. program. She believes that while education is crucial, experience plays a vital role in establishing a strong bond with her students.

Her success mantra in life is to just keep going, echoing the sentiment of her favourite quote, "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." She encourages new mothers and teachers to prioritise self-care and pursue their interests alongside their responsibilities.

Despite her busy schedule, Samridhi carves out two hours every morning for herself, engaging in activities like painting, walking, meditation, or early morning dance sessions. Looking ahead, she plans to expand her classes to include physical sessions alongside her online offerings. She also envisions creating a library where everyone can come together to read. She also plans to offer a special ‘Mothers’ Batch for all the mothers.

Her advice to aspiring individuals is simple yet profound: To achieve your goals, you must take action rather than merely keep thinking about them.
