Dr. Sameer Ahmed is in the field of Dentistry and has experience of working in various private and government hospitals. He is also an assistant professor. He says that his field requires a combination of both knowledge and practice to succeed.

Dr. Sameer Ahmed was born in Iraq but his father shifted to India during the war between Iran and Iraq. Since then, Sameer has been living in India and holds an Indian citizenship.

He did his schooling from Delhi Public School in Delhi. Then he went for BDS and did a Bachelor in Dental Surgery from Bapuji Dental College and Hospital, Davangere, Karnataka.

After this, he went for his post-graduation and did a Master in Dental Surgery from the Department of Periodontics and Implantology from Saveetha Dental College and Hospital, Chennai.

Sameer says that after this he joined as a senior lecturer at Vyas Dental College and Hospital, Jodhpur for one and a half years. He then got an opportunity to work in a government hospital and joined as a senior resident in Mathura Das Mathur Hospital which comes under Dr. S. N. Medical College and Hospital, Jodhpur. Sameer worked there for three years.

After this, he started working as a Reader and Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontology at Darshan Dental College and Hospital, Udaipur in 2016.

Talking about his struggles, Sameer says that struggles in different spheres of life, professional, academic, and personal, have always been there. However, he says that with the support of his friends and family he was able to navigate through these struggles and created a good life for himself and his family.

When asked about his role models, Sameer shares that his parents are his Role Models. They have always guided him, advised him, and supported him in every decision of his. Sameer says that all his teachers, professors, and mentors are his inspiration as they have helped him reach where he is in life today, and naming a single person would be unfair to all those who have motivated Sameer in his journey till now.

If given a Time Machine, he would like to go back to his student days and live those moments again. He would like to unlearn and relearn everything and complete unfinished tasks which he wanted to do but couldn’t do back then.

Sameer advises the youth who want to come into this field to be ready for the worst because it is not an easy field. He says that passing exams only will not help them but actual field practice is very important.

Sameer says that the Success Mantra in life is to not get demotivated by failures and struggles as there is no shortcut or easy way in life.

In his free time, Sameer likes to listen to music as it gives him peace of mind. He also likes to go on trips with his family and spend time with his kids.
