Driven by her passion, Sakshi Mehta is working hard in the field of fashion designing and desires to achieve more success.

Sakshi Mehta is currently working as a member of the faculty of Fashion Design at INIFD. She has been in the field of fashion designing for four years.

Sakshi’s native place is Pali but she currently lives in Udaipur. She did her schooling at St. Mary's Convent Senior Secondary High School and B.Com from MLSU. She has also done a B.Sc. in Fashion Designing from INIFD Udaipur.

Talking about her entry into the field of fashion designing, Sakshi says that she decided to be a fashion designer when she was in ninth class. Her parents wanted her to do engineering or any other course. They did not know anything about the design field. In 2017, when she was selected for the New York Fashion Week to represent Rajasthan, her parents became happy and felt that it is a good job and that boosted Sakshi's confidence.

Continuing to share about her journey, Sakshi says that she has attended many workshops. Once, she attended a workshop in Bangkok and she was the only one from Udaipur. She feels that it is the only field in which she can give her hundred percent and it has become her passion.

When asked about role models in her life, Sakshi says that she considers her mother and her elder sister, who always motivate her to move ahead and work harder, as her role models. She also considers her husband as her role model because he also always inspires her.

Sharing about her Covid experience, Sakshi says that during that period she was working with a textile company. She faced a lot of hardship and was not able to meet her clients.  However, she learned a lot and started freelancing during the pandemic.

If a Time Machine is given to her, Sakshi would like to go back in time and relive her childhood in which she was free of tension and had no worries.

To the fashion design aspirants, Sakshi advises grabbing opportunities that come to them. They should never think that it is a small one and they cannot do it. They should try to gain experience from it.

Sakshi's favorite quote that keeps her going is- Keep working and do not worry about the results.
