Sakshi Jagariya is a sports player who actively participates in Ju-Jitsu and Martial Arts. Along with being a competitive athlete, she is also a Karate Black Belt, a certified fitness trainer, and a yoga instructor. Sports is not just an activity for her; it is a structured lifestyle built around discipline, physical strength, and mental balance.

She has competed at the national level in Ju-Jitsu and has also taken on responsibilities beyond participation by serving as a referee. She has officiated at district-level tournaments and has also completed the National Referee Course, through which she earned official qualification.

Martial Arts champion Sakshi Jagariya’s vision does not stop there; she aspires to become an International Referee and represent India in that role. Recently, she earned selection for the Asian Championship and now aims to perform strongly on that prestigious platform. At the same time, she continues balancing both playing and refereeing so that even if competitive participation pauses at any stage, her involvement in the sport remains active.

Her entry into sports did not begin with self-driven ambition. Initially, she was not personally motivated toward sports; rather, it was her family—especially her mother—who encouraged her. Sakshi’s mother had never received the opportunity to play sports during her own childhood and wished to see her daughter move forward in that field. Sakshi was introduced to multiple games before finally stepping into Martial Arts through Karate classes nearly fifteen years ago. At that time, she was very young and did not fully understand what sports required. In the beginning, she was sent to classes with strict insistence from her family, but gradually the discipline, environment, and exposure shaped her mindset. What began as forced participation eventually transformed into self-belief and a powerful determination to achieve something meaningful for India.

Sakshi’s memories in sports are countless, especially from tournaments. She highlights the role of her Sensei and coaches, both past and present, who have taught her every essential aspect of the sport and life. Within the team environment, there exists both strict discipline and emotional connection. During tournaments, coaches may scold, correct, or push athletes to their limits throughout the day.

However, by night, the same team sits together, discusses problems, shares experiences, and supports one another like a family. That environment gave her the feeling that she had gained something valuable in life beyond medals—a second family. Through sports, she learned the right way to live and the importance of communication, teamwork, and resilience.

When speaking about role models, Sakshi places her mother at the top. She describes her mother as a superwoman whose hard work and sacrifices have shaped her entire career. Every achievement she has earned in sports is, according to her, rooted in her mother’s constant support. Her mother’s belief became her foundation.

Jagariya shares that her life faced a major turning point when her father passed away. That phase created a deep emotional struggle, and for a moment, she believed that her sports career might end. The loss of a parent felt like losing the backbone of support. However, during that difficult period, several individuals stood by her side—Kapil Sir, Rohini Kalam Sensei, Vijendra Sir Sensei, and ID Sharma Sir.

Along with her family and friends, these mentors gave her strength and encouraged her not to quit. Just one to one and a half months after her father’s death, she participated in a national tournament despite having almost no preparation. With emotional courage and determination, she competed and secured first position with a Gold Medal. That victory symbolized mental strength, resilience, and the power of support systems.

Sakshi strongly believes in the message, \\\"Never Give Up, Life Must Go On.” According to her, one must step outside the house and take action rather than sitting idle. Sports, she says, teach discipline before anything else. Discipline forms the base, followed by fitness, mental focus, time management, and respect. In Martial Arts especially, respect for seniors, coaches, and teammates is fundamental. Without discipline and respect, success cannot be sustained.

Sakshi Jagariya also speaks openly about mental health and lifestyle choices. She advises youth to engage in at least one physical activity daily for fitness and emotional stability. Instead of drifting toward addictions or harmful habits, young people should consider joining a gym, practicing yoga, or learning martial arts. According to her personal experience, sports significantly reduce stress and provide clarity of thought. Physical training builds not only muscles but also mental endurance.
