As an expert in digital marketing and a YouTuber, Sahil teaches individuals about the nuances of the subject and runs his own channel called Intellectual Indies. In addition, he owns and operates a digital marketing company.

Sahil Khanna is the owner and founder of Lapaas Digital Marketing.

Sahil hails from a humble background. He had an ordinary school education. Thereafter, he completed his chemical engineering. He says that he chose chemical engineering because his father had a business importing and exporting chemicals, and he thought that after completing chemical engineering he would be able to help his father. But after completing his engineering degree, Sahil realized that he lacked business knowledge, so he went for an MBA instead. He completed an MBA in International Business and Marketing. After completing his MBA, he worked a couple of jobs in the corporate world and later started his own business.

Sahil shares that when he started digital marketing for the first time in 2009, he had no idea whether he wanted to be a digital marketer. He just started it as a freelancing activity to earn some money. In 2009–2010, digital marketing was not that prevalent, and people did not know much about it. Over the course of time, he realized that digital marketing was going to be a big thing, and he took to it full time.

Sahil says that nobody could predict the ongoing pandemic and the lockdown that was imposed following it. Initially, everybody thought that the lockdown would be for a couple of weeks, but later it got extended for an indefinite time. Owing to this, Sahil had to suffer some hiccups in his business. His entire team was working from home, so monitoring them was a little difficult for him. Furthermore, he had to lose some clients too. But on a personal front, he was blessed with a baby, and he enjoyed fatherhood.

Talking about struggles in his life, Sahil says that he did not have to face many struggles as such, as he had clarity with regard to his goals. He started a YouTube channel out of frustration. He recalls that on the new year's eve of 2017, he was seated at home and thought of doing something to bring about a change in his life. With this in mind, he started his YouTube channel on January 1, 2017, to share his knowledge and thoughts with the public. When he was juggling his marketing job, YouTube, and family, he was a little frustrated as things were not happening as he planned. But later, he overcame it.

Speaking of his achievements, Sahil says that he is not an influential person in the professional world. But he has been able to help people in their businesses through his content on digital marketing, and when people acknowledge it, he feels really satisfied.

When asked about his role models, Sahil considers Dhirubhai Ambani to be his inspiration. He also takes inspiration from Mukesh Ambani, who has brought about a change in the country.

Sahil believes that if education is just about a degree, then it’s of no value. Rather than any degree, it’s the skill set and experience that matter.

Sahil thinks that he has had leadership qualities since childhood. For him, leadership is about motivating others.

During his free time, Sahil mostly likes to binge-watch on Netflix and play with his daughter.

Even if he could go back in time, Sahil would not want to change anything. He believes that if he changed anything, he would not be where he is today. But he would want to give investment advice to his younger self about investing in bitcoin. He would also want to relive his engineering days.

Sahil likes to read and update himself continually. Even during his engineering career, he would read books on varied subjects, and that has indirectly helped him reach where he is today.

Sahil advises everyone that if you have an idea, don’t think too much and just take the first step. You will learn along the way and need not plan out everything in advance.
