Currently, he is catering to 15000 students in more than seven universities.

Sagar Patil is an entrepreneur from Surat.

Sagar shares that he faced language barriers while travelling to different cities. So, he put in hard work and started his own start-up in order to customise the education system by introducing skill-based education. In 2020, he started providing online courses.

Recalling his childhood, Sagar says that he belonged to a middle-class family and that his father was in the police department. He spent his childhood in a very strict and disciplined environment. He had been very clear about his responsibilities since childhood, as he saw his father doing that. He was good at studies and scored good marks in the twelfth grade, because of which he got admission to D.Y. Patil University.  He started doing stage shows and anchoring and realised that one can earn money through talking. The turning point in his life came in 2017, when he lost his younger brother. Then he came back to Surat and joined the BBA course. Afterwards, he decided to make his career in consultation and training. He also did an MBA in International Business.

Talking about his journey, Sagar says he faced his first rejection when he was at D.Y. Patil University. He took that rejection as a challenge and decided to develop a good personality and his own identity. Then, at the time of the lockdown in 2020, he researched hard to analyse his own personality and purpose. He decided to start his startup and faced many challenges in the initial stages. Initially, he started doing his family business with a relative in partnership but faced many losses. Afterwards, in the year 2021, he started his own company with his two friends and started earning a good amount. But it didn’t work, as his friends cheated on him. So in 2022, he registered his firm as a Pvt. Ltd. and within fourteen months, his growth in this field has been remarkable.

Sharing his achievements, Sagar says that he has received more than thirty awards, a few from the government, some from universities, and a few from corporate companies. He also got an award from APJ Abdul Kalam when he was in the twelfth grade. The biggest accomplishment for him is completing the degree on his own and receiving appreciation from others.

When asked about his role models, Sagar says that there is no fixed role model for him as it keeps changing at every stage of life. His first role model was his father, who gave him a lot of freedom and taught him to be responsible in life. He also admires his friends, as they supported him through his failures. He idealised Swami Vivekanad,  and is following his vision.

Sagar’s life mantra is to be everything you love.

Advising aspirants to his field, Sagar says that to become a good entrepreneur, it is important to be yourself and not chase anyone else. Follow the three Ps in your life: purpose, passion, and profit. If  the purpose is clear and according to the purpose one can set the passion, one will definitely get the profit. It is important to put your energy into building a proper system instead of earning money.
