Sagar is a tattoo artist who, under the influence of others, decided to pursue the commerce field. However, soon he realized his real calling in life and is now living the life of his dreams.

Sagar Mali is a tattoo artist at Unik Ink Tattoo Studio in Kolkata. He has been in this field for the past ten years.

Sagar was born and brought up in Kolkata. After 10th he took Commerce under the influence of his friends but his real interest lay in drawing and sketching.

Sagar says that after graduation he met some of his friends who were in the field of tattooing and got inspiration from them. He bought a tattooing kit and started practicing. He also left his job and started focusing on his passion full-time.

Talking about the COVID-19 pandemic, Sagar says that his studio was closed for a long time and a negative vibe loomed around him. Sagar says that the only positive thing that happened was that he got time to practice his art and upskilled himself.

Sharing about his role models, Sagar says that his mother and father will always be his inspirations. He also adds that Anjan Pradhan, owner of Unik Ink is also his role model and the way he has grown in the field inspires Sagar a lot.

Talking about his struggles, Sagar says that he lost his father during the COVID phase and it took a lot of time for him to overcome that trauma.

Sagar says that his success mantra in life is that we will have to face what we do to others.

Sagar advises the youth to come into this field only if they are interested in art, drawing, and sketching. One should not get into this field just because of money or fame.

In his free time, Sagar likes to spend time with his kid and upskill his art skills.
