A singer who decided to follow his passion for music instead of engineering, Sagar is still learning, and he's grateful for his choice.

Sagar Kakde is a singer and a percussionist.

Hailing from Mumbai, Sagar says he completed his engineering there. While pursuing engineering, he started to think of something else for his career. He started singing with his college friends. Later, he decided to pursue his passion for singing.

Recalling his childhood, Sagar says he had always been passionate about singing. He used to participate in activities such as dance, play, and mainly singing. He recorded his first song in the third standard, which was a prayer for his school. His father is also a musician; he writes for Marathi cinemas. His father used to play old songs. He also shared the stage with his father as a child, which further motivated him to sing. He took inspiration from his father and also wrote poems. Currently, he is a percussionist and a singer.

Sharing his accomplishments, Sagar says he got his name into the Guinness World Records book, and he also worked with the Meet Bros team. Furthermore, he also did an event for Navbharat in front of celebrities such as Jhanvi Kapoor.

Talking about his mistakes, Sagar says he wanted to enter the event management field after his engineering. However, he did not have any skills or experience in the field. He assisted someone and approached them to enter the field but was not treated properly. He learned that it is not necessary to follow others in order to learn something new. Later, he launched his own event company with his friend.

When asked about his role models, Sagar says there are many people who inspire him. He takes inspiration from Shahrukh Khan, his father, and the people around him who supported him and helped him achieve something in life.

Sagar believes it's never too late to learn something.

Sagar says technology has helped artists reach auditions as social media platforms are accessible to everyone, which is beneficial for artists to showcase their art.

Advising the youth, Sagar says you also need to sell your art because it will help you survive as an artist. Sharing art will also help us improve ourselves through feedback.
