Sachin Sahu is an artist who owns Navrang Art Gallery in Pushkar.

Hailing from Beawar,  Sachin is into various kinds of paintings such as Real gold, Pichwai and Modern Art. He used to paint for traders but as he wanted to deal with the customers directly, he started his own art gallery. He also provides art classes to interested learners.

Recalling his early days, Sachin says he did his graduation in Fine Arts. His father always inspired him and taught him to paint.

Talking about his challenges, Sachin says he had to face difficulties when he started his art gallery as he was new to the market and couldn’t convince customers initially. However, he learned from the experience.

Sachin says there are very few artists that are professionally adopting painting as a career but he wants to promote the cultural paintings of India so people can see a career in this field.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Sachin had to face various challenges as it became hard to sell the paintings. However, he used to paint at home. He also started online art classes with the use of technology. He  provided the first session free for aspiring learners of art.

Advising aspirant artists, Sachin says one should learn painting as it provides a good opportunity to conserve Indian Art and Culture.
