Rudraksh Srivastava is a Make-Up Artist who feels that it is in our hands to determine the direction in which our career will go. We should do what we are interested in.

Rudraksh Srivastava is from Lucknow and a Civil Engineer by Education.

Rudraksh is the Owner and Managing Director of ‘Ruhail Academy’ where he teaches Make-up to students. He is a Make-Up Artist, Model, and Actor. He says that it was the dream of his mentor and friend, Suhail Khan, to open this academy.

Rudraksh says that he wanted to be a Model and Actor. However, he was brought into the field of Make-Up by destiny. He got a chance to do make-up for a few models in a Fashion Show when the assigned artist failed to show up due to some family issues. Rudraksh says that people appreciated his work and he also got interested in the field.

Rudraksh says that whatever he has learned is from YouTube and Instagram. He has self-taught himself and practice has made him perfect.

Rudraksh informs that he lost his mother to an accident and his father left his family. He was raised by his grandparents who are like more than parents to him. They wanted Rudraksh to study and do something in life and that’s why he did Civil Engineering. They were not initially agreeable when he told them that he wanted to come into the field of Make-Up. However, after seeing his success and passion, they are now proud of him.

Rudraksh says that his friend and mentor Sohail Khan is an inspiration. He has always supported Rudraksh and pushed him to try something new. Rudraksh also considers Mansi Midha as his Role Model and is inspired by her way of carrying herself and her creativity in the field.

Rudraksh says that his Covid experience was good. He learned many new things while at home. He, along with his team, also prepared food packets for people in slums. He also helped people get Oxygen Cylinders and other Covid supplies. He says that it was a great experience and he felt humbled by giving back to society.

Rudraksh says that his Success Mantra is to never be demotivated by negative things that people say to us. He thinks that we should keep working and moving in a forward direction and never listen to undue criticism.

Rudraksh feels that Education and Experience both are important in life. He says that Education is a basic need and after getting an Education we work at different places and gain experience in life to move forward.

Rudraksh says that a Leader works for the team and motivates the team. He should have a polite attitude in life.

If given a Time Machine he would like to undo the mistakes he made in life and also pursue some of his dreams that he could not.

Rudraksh says that to come into this field it is not necessary to learn from some expensive institute. You can always learn by yourself as well. He says that one should have the zeal to work in life and also be prepared to meet different types of customers.
