Dr. Ruchi Srivastava is an Art Teacher who is in this field because of her mother. She feels that being an instrument of fulfilling your parent’s dream is the biggest happiness in life.

Dr. Ruchi Srivastava is from Udaipur. She did her M.A. from Mohanlal Sukhadia University in 1988. She did her Doctorate after that.

Ruchi worked for four years at Sukhadia University and then switched to teaching in a school. Presently, she is working as an Arts Teacher in Chanakya B.Ed College.

Ruchi has won many competitions. Her painting was even selected as Rajasthan’s entry in an All-India competition. Ruchi has also joined Kush Art Gallery and is happy meeting like-minded people there. She also teaches Painting to women coming there.

Ruchi says that her mother is her Role Model. Her mother was also fond of Drawing and Painting. She even worked at the time when women were not allowed to do a job. Her mother persuaded Ruchi to opt for Drawing as a career even after Ruchi had already done her M.A. in History. Ruchi can never forget the contribution of her mother in her life.

Ruchi says that after marriage she faced a bit of difficulty in continuing her career. It was the time when there were no maids and the concept of creches was also not there. However, she managed everything and continued honing her skill as well.

Ruchi says that during the pandemic time she had to stop her classes and her workload at home also increased. It was a tough phase of life for everyone is what she feels.

Apart from Painting, Ruchi also likes cooking and going on outings.
