Besides teaching Accounts and Law, Ruchi also writes poems to express her views on contemporary trends and the ills in society.

Ruchi Mehta is a teacher by profession. Besides, she is a hobbyist poetess and a writer.

Ruchi hails from Udaipur. She teaches Accounts to high school students and Law to CA and CS aspirants.

When asked about her role models, Ruchi says that both her parents are teachers and they are the inspiration behind her becoming a teacher. Besides, her school teacher, Jayesh Bhandari, and Akshay Mehta are her sources of inspiration. Furthemore, Mrs. Kiran, a social worker, and a hobbyist poetess is her inspiration behind writing poems.

Reviewing her COVID experience, Ruchi says that during the pandemic, she nicely spent her time with her family. Besides, she wrote poems on the topics that her husband would suggest to her. She wrote many of her poems centered around the ills prevalent in society. Besides, she says, she was also down with the virus and it was quite tough for her to beat it. Furthemore, during the pandemic only she became a member of an Instagram community of poets called Nikshar Udaipur and started posting her poems there.

To aspiring poets, Ruchi tells them that writing poems should not be taken as a serious pursuit. She says writing poems is about penning down your thoughts and emotions and it should be pursued that way only. Besides, she tells them that writing poems will also help them improve their literary skills.
