Roshni is a Makeup Artist and runs her own Makeup Studio. She feels that getting depressed from failures does not help. She says that practice is the only way to succeed in life.

Roshni Nichani was born in Chennai. She went to Stella Maris College, Chennai. She is a Chartered Accountant by Education. She is the owner of Rosh Makeup and Hair Services and has been working in this field for the past six years. She specializes in Bridal Makeup.

Roshni says that after completing her CA she started working as an Auditor in Ernst and Young. Working for two years in this company made her realize that this is not what she wanted to do in her life. However, she thought many times about leaving her job but the financial aspect kept her tied to it. Eventually, she garnered strength and resigned from her job to find new opportunities in her life.

She started her own Designer Store and started selling traditional Indian wear. She started organizing exhibitions and putting-up stalls. However, satisfaction was still far away from her. It was around this time that she joined a makeup course. She would say at home that she was up for her Yoga classes but would actually be attending her makeup classes.

Roshni adds that after finishing her course, she joined a company that paid her very little but sent her to attend to about ten to twelve clients per day. She says that though the money was less, the experience was immense. She learned the basics of makeup and client relations in this job. She learned about customer preferences and got a sense of what they desire.

Soon after, Roshni started her own studio under the name Rosh Makeup and Hair Services. She says that a complete package of Hair, Makeup, and Draping is what she provides. Her business is primarily focused on Bridal Makeup. She says that her dad had a small place which she has now renovated completely and is running her business from there.

Roshni shares that she had bad experiences initially when she messed up with her clients and they were left in tears. Such incidents prompted Roshni to work more on her skills and learn more. She practiced hard, attended classes and seminars, and perfected her skills.

Roshni feels that Education never gets wasted whether you pursue the same field as your career path or not. She says that studying for the CA examination has taught her patience and perseverance. She has learned that hard work can get you to places. She also feels that an overall personality development has happened in her school and college days. Failing in CA and reattempting to clear it has made her strong and optimistic in life. She says that nothing in life is ever wasted and we should never give up.

Roshni also feels that Education and Experience go hand in hand. Without education, the overall development of your personality would not take place. Experience helps in taking the knowledge gained in the forward direction.

Roshni says that everything in life is an achievement. Completing her CA, opening her clothing store to starting her makeup business are all her achievements. She feels that everything is a milestone in her life. Getting new clients or getting referred by old clients made her realize that good work is always appreciated. She adds that being a mother and pursuing her career simultaneously is also an achievement for her.

Roshni says that her Success Mantra in life is to work hard and work for the gratification of the client. She feels that the only goal of a professional should be client satisfaction.

Roshni takes inspiration from famous makeup artists around the world. She is always motivated by her parents and husband. She says without their support, pursuing a career would have been a tough job.

Roshni advises the upcoming makeup artists to practice as much as they can. Getting perfect in your craft is very important. You can learn as much as possible but if you don’t practice nothing fruitful will come out of it.

In her free time, Roshni likes to be with her family and friends. She also likes traveling.
