Ronak Choubisa is an entrepreneur and a rapper. He has been involved in outdoor catering services in all types of events since the age of nineteen. In the field of music, he has an eleven-member musical crew called ‘Blue Ethnic’, in which he is the one responsible to oversee its management and planning.
Ronak hails from Udaipur. He says that being a naughty child, he had to change schools frequently. He did his 11th and 12th from Central Public School. Then he got enrolled for BBA at Pacific Institute of Management but from his second year, he got involved in business and his passion for music was already there. Due to his engagement in his work, he did not get time for studies, and hence he dropped out in his third year.
Describing his struggles, Ronak says that he faced a lot of challenges in his catering business because, in this work, there is no time for eating, drinking, sleeping, or even a little bit of rest. Plus, he says that payment recovery is the biggest problem in this industry as this sector works on credit policy and people are reluctant to pay afterwards. In the field of music, sometimes it becomes very challenging for him to bring all the artists together and give them their comfort while organizing an event.
According to Ronak, both education and experience are equally important. He believes that being educated is equivalent to knowing any subject and if you move ahead in any field with its knowledge, no one can stop you from achieving great heights in that field. Further, experience makes you better, perfect, and fulfilled.
Ronak advises the newcomers in the event management and catering industry that whether you have a big event coming up or a small one, it doesn’t matter. What matters is how much you can make that event better by putting in your ideas and creativity. He adds that you cannot grow your business just by outsourcing everything. Instead, you have to create your ideas, make them innovative and sell them to sustain in this industry.
If anyone wants to make a career in the field of music, Ronak advises them that it doesn’t matter whether you are getting money from any event or not initially, but it matters that you have learned something from it. That’s what is going to make a difference in your music career.
