As an assistant professor who has a deep love for the hospitality sector, Rohit counsels the next generation to pursue careers in this area so they can achieve immense success in life and amaze the world with their creativity and imagination.

Rohit Mathur is an Udaipur native. After completing a diploma programme in food and beverage service at the Food and Craft Institute, he began a one-year training programme at Gajner Palace in Bikaner. Following that, he spent a few years working for Radisson Hotels and Lalit Laxmi Vilas. After that, in 2011, he started working as an Assistant Professor in the Hotel Management Institute at Pacific University.

Rohit had lived in the hotels-surrounded central area of Udaipur since he was a little boy, and upon viewing the hotels, he considered specializing in this area of work. And for that reason, he started working in the hotel sector. Rohit was unable to pursue job opportunities in other cities as being the only son in the family, he had to stay in Udaipur to look after his ailing father.

It is a significant accomplishment for Rohit to point out that he and his family had never seen the variety of food and drinks that he has seen in the hotel industry. The greatest accomplishment for him was meeting many celebrities and well-known musicians over his career.

Parul Mathur, Rohit's sister and the director of Pacific University's Hotel Management College, served as a major source of inspiration for him. She informed him about this sector of the economy and drew his interest in it. Inspired by Parul, Rohit entered this sector and attempted to become a chef, but as there were no open seats, he pursued a career in food and beverage instead.

Rohit lost his father during COVID-19 and it was very tough for Rohit to come to terms at that point.

According to Rohit, for people who are innovative and creative the hotel sector is the greatest place for them to work and pursue a career since it allows them to establish a name for themselves and creatively and innovatively create their own dishes. Therefore, he believes that the most outstanding employment opportunities available today are in the hotel business and event management.

If Rohit had the opportunity to travel back in time, he would gladly return to his time spent working at Radisson Blu and recreate those unforgettable experiences. He also wants to live in the same downtown neighborhood as he did when he was a child.

According to Rohit, getting an education is just one step in the hotel management career. However, when you're finally there, nothing works like experience in teaching you how to manage the place and communicate with your guests. And as long as you put in the necessary effort, you will succeed even though you cannot discover that knowledge in any book.

According to Rohit, not all leaders are born. Being a good leader is something you can accomplish with time and experience.

Painting and listening to music, particularly instrumental music, are two of Rohit's pastimes.

Rohit concludes by stressing the importance of concentrating on your work. Work hard and respect your parents and everyone around you if you want to succeed.
