Being economically disadvantaged, Rohit was never able to take professional training in Dance. Yet he did not let his passion die. He made his career in Dance after stumbling a lot and became a successful Choreographer and Dancer.

Rohit Gopal Kadam is a Dancer. He, along with his friend, has been running a Dance and Music Academy, ‘DWM Dance Studio’ in Pune since 2014. This organization is an initiative for promoting talent at nominal charges. He has been working in this field for the past ten years.

Rohit belongs to Pune. he says that he was fond of Dance since childhood. But due to their poor financial condition, his family could not support his dream. So, he started working at a clothing store when he was in 11th std in order to join a dance academy. But because of the high fees of the academy, he could not manage to take any professional training. But he didn’t get discouraged, instead he started learning it from his friends and TV.

Talking about his achievements, Rohit says that he proved himself in this field by winning several Dance Competitions. He even worked as an Assistant Choreographer in many Marathi movies and as Lead Dancer in many Dance Reality Shows. His students from the academy have won several inter-school, state and district level competitions, which is no less than an achievement for him.

Rohit shares that during the Covid pandemic, his academy was completely closed for a long time, which was a challenging phase for him. But since the Covid restrictions ended, his academy started to run again and grew gradually.

Advising the young dancers, Rohit says never boast of your talent and always appreciate the talent of others. He says that an Artist must be down to earth no matter how successful he is.
