Rohit Gupta is the founder of ‘Cossoil’, an earthenware products company promoting environmental friendliness.
Rohit was born in Gwalior and brought up in Jhansi. He did his B.Com in Jhansi itself.
Rohit says that he worked for five years in his family business of paints and distempers. Working with his father taught him a lot and then he started his own business in the COVID lockdown phase.
Talking about struggles, Rohit says that when he started his business, the second COVID wave hit, and everything closed down again. He also lost some of his family members which was also a big blow to him. He used to go to cafes and restaurants to promote his products and create a customer base.
Talking about the COVID-19 pandemic, Rohit says that it was both good and bad. It gave impetus to the online selling of products which helped businesses to grow on a larger scale. However, it ended the physical meetings and one-on-one contact with people.
If given a Time Machine, he would like to go back to his school days and be more participative in extra-curricular activities.
Talking about education and experience, Rohit says that experience is more important in today’s world. He feels that in times to come, one’s skill set is what will become the basis of hiring people.
Talking about his role models, he says he is inspired by entrepreneurs who have made big in the field like Kunal Shah and Nikhil Kamath. He also listens to podcasts of Beer Biceps and gets inspired by him.

Rohit advises the youth to observe the problems around them and try to be a solution to them. He thinks networking and talking to people are very important in today’s time.
