Rohan Pathak is a singer and songwriter. He has been working in the field for more than 20 years.
Rohan hails from Bhopal.
Recalling his childhood, Rohan says that he was from a middle-class family, and developed an interest in music since he was in the fifth grade. Along with his studies, he was equally dedicated to learning Indian classical music. He participated in several vocal competitions. He says that his family had a musical background, so that helped him learn music faster. As a child, he enjoyed learning new things, such as playing the guitar. After completing his 12th grade, he did his engineering in Electronics and Communications. All in all, he had a lovely childhood.
Sharing about his journey, Rohan says that his journey has been a rollercoaster ride. He feels blessed to have some good opportunities. He has performed in many shows and performances. He has travelled a lot and met new people. He feels fortunate to have met A.R. Rehman. He gained popularity after participating in ‘The Voice'. For him, active rehearsal, bringing creativity and improving skills each day is the key to success which makes an artist grow.
Speaking about his mistakes, Rohan says that he has made many mistakes in life but has learned to detach himself from the past. He thinks that thinking about the past can have a severe impact on our future.
Sharing about his achievements, Rohan says that he got the chance to work with Mika Singh and many other well-known artists, especially after participating in ‘The Voice'. He feels elated that he got selected in every competition he participated in and was one of the top contestants.
When asked about his role models, Rohan says that he looks up to Sonu Nigam and Arijit Singh as role models. Music is a demigod to him. It makes him feel relaxed and inspired.
Rohan advises everyone that immersing yourself too much in whatever we want to achieve will create a creativity block and will not allow the mind to process. So, it becomes important to take some time off and chill out.
Rohan’s life mantra is to practise demotion in life. Failures are bound to happen, but one should move on with their life, says Rohan.
