His company provides IT services, which involve developing enterprise applications using Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science.
Rizwan completed his B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Amravati University and his M.Tech from Nagpur University. Pursuing his academic interest further, he pursued his Ph.D. with a focus on digital and mobile forensics, and is the first recipient to have received a doctorate in this research area. Rizwan wrote his first research paper back in 2008, which was presented at IIT Delhi. He considers his work with cyber security and digital consultancy as one of his achievements. Rizwan is also fortunate to have worked with several Fortune 100 and Fortune 1000 companies across a variety of sectors like fintech, healthcare, energy, retail, and supply chain.
When asked about his childhood, Rizwan says that since his father had a transferable job, he had to change many schools, including the Zila Parishad Mahatma Gandhi High School. He studied in the Marathi medium and had a good group of friends with him. Rizwan has also been a topper throughout his academic life. He is thankful to one of his teachers who motivated him to pursue computers along with biology as his subject, and since then, Rizwan has never looked back in the field of programming.
Rizwan shares that his parents have been his constant support in learning subjects like calculus. He also draws inspiration from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam for his valuable contributions and has incorporated many life lessons from his journey to fight his own battles. Rizwan also considers his father as his role model, who helped him lead a structured life and follow a daily routine.
Speaking about his challenges, Rizwan shares that he has always considered failure as a first attempt towards learning and becoming a better individual. In 2007, Rizwan participated in a Microsoft-run contest conducted for all developers across the globe. One of the cutting-edge technologies he developed was called "Phone Key," which could be used for multiple purposes, like opening your house door and controlling devices like television. Rizwan helped develop this technology for the hospitality industry and emerged as the winner in the contest, which was the biggest achievement for him. However, he couldn’t materialize his dream of meeting Bill Gates and visiting Microsoft's offices owing to a delay in the visa procedure.
Besides these achievements, Rizwan has also received more than twenty global recognitions, including the Next 100 CIO Award, CT of the Year Award, CIO of the Year Award, and Cloud Champion Awards, to name a few. He is one of the few individuals across the globe to be selected as a distinguished speaker at the Association of Computing Machinery based in New York. Rizwan feels proud to have delivered more than270 talks on topics related to IT, cyber security, AI, machine learning, blockchain and other emerging areas.
As a message to all aspiring technologists, Rizwan suggests focusing on the 3Cs: Creativity, Curiosity, and Commitment. He advises young people to be innovative, lifelong learners, and to learn and practise programming languages on a daily basis. Rizwan also advises all freshers to follow the 5Ps, which are Purpose, Passion, Personalization, Priority, and Practice. He adds that it is important to learn life skills like handling work pressure, communicating effectively, and finding your passion. Rizwan says that today’s youth should find a mentor who can guide them through the entire process.
Rizwan is inspired by the quote given by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, who said that "Excellence is a continuous process and not an accident."
Besides work, Rizwan is a sports enthusiast who enjoys cricket, football, and tennis. On a personal note, he volunteers for various organizations in his free time. Rizwan also likes to share his knowledge and indulge in public speaking.
