Ritu Deshwal is the founder of ‘Style and Scissors’ in Udaipur.

Ritu hails from Jaipur and completed her postgraduate studies there. Then she completed her MBA. Initially, she started doing administrative jobs in different companies. But she always wanted to run her own business. She came into contact with the salon industry when her husband started a distributorship of cosmetic items. Then she decided to move forward in this field and took initial training in Delhi. She also learned a lot from various academies and has been working in this field for the last nineteen years.

Recalling her childhood, Ritu says that she remembers the moment when her father taught her to ride a bike. She also enjoyed playing with her sisters.

Talking about her hardships, Ritu says that she faced many challenges when she quit her job and started her own salon. But she never gave up and even sold her house to manage her finances.

Sharing her achievements, Ritu says that creating a brand of Style and Scissors is her biggest accomplishment. Very soon they are coming with a Wellness center, which is an achievement for her. Her trusted client base and healthy relations with her clients and with her team members are her greatest achievements.

Ritu’s role model is her father, who is a very grounded, simple, and honest person. She has learned a lot from his father.

Ritu’s success mantra is "Honesty is the best policy."

Ritu advises that having deep knowledge about your field is important. Firstly, understand the field and then take proper training in it. Be honest with yourself and others every time. Peacefully handle adverse situations and try to make things better.

According to Ritu, education and experience are both important. Education is helpful in gathering knowledge, and experience grooms a person in life. She believes that it is important to learn new things every day.

In her free time, Ritu likes to travel, eat food, read books, and listen to music. She also likes to watch movies.
