Ritika Raina is a food blogger. She started blogging in 2018 to explore and popularise authentic Jammu & Kashmir cuisine. Ritika is an MBA in Finance and is about to start her YouTube channel. She says in her blogging journey, she learned a lot, made new friends, interacted with interesting people, and had a good experience.
During COVID, Ritika explored living alone and cooking various recipes at her flat in Chandigarh. However, she got lots of skin infections and troubles during her quarantine period in Jammu. Her study was not affected due to online classes and supportive teachers. She worked on lots of cooking videos and blogging during this time. Moreover, she spent quality time with her family.
Ritika says as a child she has travelled a lot with her family and on college tours. So, travelling and food is her passion. She acquired this from her father and credits him for her interest in food and travel. One of her friends encouraged her to start blogging. Ritika feels accomplished when brands approach her for work. Moreover, she was interviewed by the J&K News channel. Then, in August 2021, Hashtag magazine featured her for her commendable work. She was also aired on 92.7 Big FM to talk about her food blogging and other environmental issues.
About her role models, Ritika says her parents, more specifically her mother are her mentors. Ritika lost her father and her mother struggled to educate her and her siblings, with a constant smile on her face. Moreover, her belief in God motivates her.
Ritika believes that laughter helps us relax. She believes that hard work guarantees success.
During her free time, Ritika likes to sleep, walk, hang out with friends, watch television, or draw. She believes in doing things to relax our minds.
Ritika advises aspiring bloggers to be real and showcase their authentic personalities. Authenticity attracts people, in her view. She advises never to run after the number of followers or fans on social media. Keeping patience, being trendy and transparent will make your work speak.
