After completing his degree in Hotel Management, Ritesh did a course in bartending to kick start his journey of launching his own bar, which he is successfully running today.

Ritesh Narayan Bachhav is the Founder and CEO of The Bar Castle, a company providing bartending services, consultancy and training to new bartenders. He currently resides in Nashik.

Recalling his childhood, Ritesh says that since his father was in a government job, he has lived in many places. He was born in Goa and then came to Gujarat, where he studied till the 7th standard. Ritesh completed the rest of his schooling in Kolkata and Mumbai, followed by Nashik, where he did his 4-year-course in Hotel Management. He also did a course in bartending and soon launched his own startup.

When asked about his role models, Ritesh says he draws inspiration from everyone who is passionate about their work and shows up daily no matter what. On that note, he considers his father as his role model.

Talking about the pandemic, Ritesh shares that COVID had a great impact on the hotel industry, and since he was a beginner, he had to go back to his village. However, on the personal front, Ritesh got enough time to spend with his family and on leisure activities like cooking and baking. He also conducted online sessions for aspiring bartenders.

For people who wish to get into the hotel industry, Ritesh suggests they focus more on learning, exercise patience and be consistent in their efforts. He feels that one should have a clear vision and work until the objective is achieved.

If Ritesh could go back in a Time Machine, he would relive his college days, a time when he had the utmost fun of his life with his group of friends. Ritesh says that his friends have been his constant support and he has learnt many things from them.

In his free time, Ritesh likes to dance, sing, read, and write to rejuvenate himself.
