Inspired by his family’s royal culture and heritage, Rishi Raj is continuing the legacy by converting his ancestral property into a heritage hotel.

Rishi Raj Singh is the owner of Castle Bijapur in Chittorgarh. He has been running his hotel business for thirty-three years.

Rishi lives in his 450 years old castle in Bijapur itself.

Recalling his childhood memories, Rishi Raj says that he was fond of driving. He used to push his Vintage car front and back due to which he was once scolded by his father.

Rishi started this business in 1989. He wished to showcase the traditional life of people. He came upon an idea of  tourism showing the heritage and palaces representing the actual life and culture of the erstwhile rulers. While starting up this business, he faced a lot of problems, but Rishi says that he enjoyed a lot in collecting information regarding these things.

Along with tourism activities like horse safari, trekking, and yoga started by his father, Rishi Raj combined activities like helping people by conducting eye camps, free medicines and many more with an aim to attract the villagers and other people to make them aware of the richness of our culture and as tourists, too. Now he has five hotels in Chittorgarh, says Rishi Raj.

Giving his views on the importance of education and experience, Rishi Raj says that experience is also necessary along with education.

Rishi considers himself a born leader as he is the 14th generation of Rao Shakti Singh, the younger brother of Maharana Pratap. He feels that leadership is in his blood.

When asked about role models in his life, Rishi says that his father is his role model who is down to earth despite being from a king’s family. He lives with nature and with the people.

Sharing his Covid experience, Rishi says that he learned how to sustain his business in such days. He visited many places to help the people during the pandemic.

Sharing about his achievements, Rishi Raj says that he supported a London-based company owner Johny Barrio who became one of the toppers in his industry. Rishi Raj feels it is his achievement because he feels that due to him somebody got grand success.

Even if a Time Machine is given to him, Rishi Raj would not like to go back in time. He feels that his life is the best. He is blessed in this life where he was born and is a Rajput and satisfied with his family business too.

In his free time, Rishi loves to do wildlife photography and jeep safari. He likes to visit rural areas and countryside areas. He is fond of traveling on rough roads and visiting wildlife sanctuaries in his spare time.

For the newcomers in this field, Rishi advises them that they should multi-task and maintain good relationships, and have knowledge of Indian history as well.

Rishi Raj’s success mantra is maintaining deep relationships with people.

To the youngsters, Rishi advises them to learn history and Indian culture. He also advises them to learn their roots they belong to. He also suggests them to grow more and more with technology but they should never forget the richness of Indian culture.
