To succeed, one needs to possess an entrepreneurial spirit.
Rishabh Pote is a founder at Moshak Tech Pvt. Ltd. in Mumbai.
Talking about his journey, Rishabh says that it started when he was in the 7th grade. He used to play with programmable chips, which you can code yourself, and build robots using the multiple modules given to them. Then he moved to combat robotics, a competition played out in many engineering colleges. He saw it at IIT Bombay and participated in it. He built his first BOT with the help of his uncle in his automobile workshop way back in 2015. At the time, he was the youngest person in Asia to do it. He played in the competition for six years.
Furthermore, in 2019, he hosted his first talk show powered by Red Bull on YouTube. He spoke to many participants in combat robotics. After that, he began his commercial journey. He founded Moshak Tech in 2020.
Rishabh shares that Moshak is a SaaS-based platform that helps users optimise their cloud journey and save costs and time. He has already received his first round of funding. He is trying to improve his AI engineering and go for bigger funding rounds. He did extensive research about the cloud and, seeing the problems faced by small enterprises, came up with the idea of Moshak.
Rishabh says that up to the 10th standard, he considered that the education system was not very important. Currently, he is in his first year of B.Tech., and he thinks he was both right and wrong. Now, he thinks that the Indian education system helps you indirectly. It teaches you how to handle pressure, how to multitask, and how to do things that you don’t like to do. In his opinion, the system needs a major change in the syllabus and the whole method of providing education. It helped him develop patience and multitasking skills. He learned to balance everything with hard work.
When asked about his successes, Rishabh says that there is no definite answer to it as your definition of success keeps changing. He says he does not believe in celebrating every small victory. Talking about failures, he thinks failure is not a bad thing. You should treat failures as steps towards your next phase. He believes life is ten percent what it gives you and ninety percent what you make of it.
Rishabh considers Ratan Tata as his role model, as he thinks he is a great human being who always shows empathy towards everyone. Rishabh is also inspired by the dedication of the armed forces and police personnel towards the nation. He is preparing for the Central Defence Services, as his dad was also in the army. The one celebrity he wants to meet in life is Ratan Tata.
Rishabh says he does not resonate with motivational quotes. He thinks there are good days and bad days in life. Whenever you feel stressed, you should de-stress by taking a walk, cycling, or any other way you like, and continue with your work.
When asked about his mistakes, Rishabh thinks that one of the mistakes he made early in his career was not having a team of advisors. Besides, he has learned that you must hold your equity and not give it away easily at a low valuation. Also, he says, you should not burn yourself out; you should limit your work hours and enjoy life too.
Talking about his struggles, Rishabh says that he had a hard time when he started as he did not have the 100 percent support of his parents as he was very young. Balancing education with work is also a struggle for him.
Advising aspirants in his field, Rishabh says that in terms of business, the most important thing is the team and the people you work with. There is a need to build a strong and faithful core team. One should learn business development, technical development, communication skills, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Rishabh enjoys networking, talking to people all over the world, and figuring out how multiple and other businesses work. He is part of many social media groups, but he wants to join professional clubs. He also does social work through the Leo Club International, of which he is a member.
Sharing his achievements, Rishabh says that he is proud of where he is today and is quite happy with it. He hosted and produced various talk shows. He was also able to expose himself in technical terms to combat robotics. In addition to this, he played many sports and performed well. He is also proud to do social work and help needy people and kids at such a young age.
Comparing education and experience, Rishabh says that both are important. He feels education teaches us persistence, perseverance, patience, and hard work, whereas one picks up various skill sets through experience.
