Rishabh Nigam is the owner of Riddhi Siddhi Arts Studio. He is also an arts teacher.
Rishabh was born in Uttar Pradesh. He shares that his father had a transferable government job and hence Rishabh got to explore the culture of different places like Kanpur, Lucknow, Assam, and even South India.
Rishabh did his schooling from the 2nd class to the 12th class at Maharishi Vidya Mandir, Bhopal. Then he did Civil Engineering from JLU, Bhopal. After that, he did his masters in Fine Arts from Hamidia University. Currently, he is pursuing a course in UI/UX from IIT Guwahati. He is running his own art studio and is working as an art teacher and event curator, catering to pan India.
Rishabh shares that his journey in arts started when his mother, who is also an artist, saw his interest in art. After learning from her, he was sent to learn from another person, Mrs. Saxena, who lived in his locality and groomed him a lot. He started with sketching and after the age of seven, was taught the basics of coloring.
However, in order to have a stable career, he was sent to pursue civil engineering. Rishabh says that his art helped him earn during his engineering days and he used to manage his expenses on his own. In his third year of college, he organized his first art exhibition at Swaraj Bhawan. The year was 2018. Since then, he has organized nine national art exhibitions and three painting parties, and has been a part of many government events, directly and indirectly.
When asked about his mistakes in life, Rishabh says that they were all learning experiences and not mistakes in true terms. He learned a lot from them.
Talking about his mentors, Rishabh says that there have been three mentors in his life. First, his mother, who taught him the initial basics of painting, second, all those people who opposed him and criticized him and lastly, the HOD of the Fine Arts Department of Hamidia College, Alok Bhavsar who taught him, motivated him, and groomed him in the real sense.
Rishabh feels that to make a career in any field, it takes at least three years. Further, he adds that there are three ways to do so. First, to get a proper education. Second, to look for stable opportunities in the government or private sector in order to have regular earnings, and lastly to pursue a business.
In his free time, Rishabh likes listening to music, writing poems, and reading books.
