Rifaqat Khan is a Senior HR Executive at Arcgate. He was born and brought up in Dungarpur, Rajasthan.
Recalling his childhood, Rifaqat says he learned how to mathematically divide after a hard slap from his father, and that has stayed with him to date because he thinks what you learn in your early days is always important. Then he used to go and climb trees with his friend to grab guavas, which once fell down due to their weight. Then he says the best time of his college life was when he used to sip tea early in the morning with his friends before going to college.
Rifaqat shares that he completed his schooling and graduated from Dungarpur Government School and College. He then pursued his Master’s in Marketing and HR from Deepshikha College of Technical Education. He worked with two companies before joining Arcgate.
When asked about his role models, Rifaqat says that his mother has always been his role model, who taught him to live life to the fullest even in unfavorable circumstances.
If Rifaqat could go back in time, he would want to become an automobile engineer and experiment with the latest technologies.
Rifaqat's sheer belief is that you cannot succeed in life without a strong foundation of education. To get into the field of HR, Rifaqat says that it is important to have excellent leadership, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and teamwork skills.
He adds that even if you don’t know how to communicate well, you should not give up. There are many people who believe that for an HR executive, it is compulsory to have good English-speaking attributes, but it’s not like that. They should not be afraid because life has a way of teaching you everything on your path towards your goals.
In his free time, Rifaqat loves to go out with his friends and gossip over a cup of tea. Listening to music is one of the best therapies for Rifaqat.
