Richisha Gulati is a well-known Mumbai-based actress and anchor.
Richisha was born in Mumbai but was raised in Delhi.
Richisha is working in the Indian entertainment industry, especially in Hindi-language web series. She is known for her acting in Raat Baaki Hai, a thriller film released in April 2021.
Richisha says she started her career as an emcee, and later she joined a news channel. She had to cover the entertainment and programming parts of the channel. Later, she began working as an anchor and actor for a variety of television projects and channels.
When asked about her biggest struggles, Richisha said choosing to graduate in journalism with honors and convincing her parents to let her go to Mumbai and follow her dream of becoming an anchor was the first hurdle she had to overcome. Later on, she says, she encountered difficulties trying to land a job as a TV media anchor. She says that once you go to Mumbai, challenges become a part of your daily life; as an actor, you must attend numerous auditions in order to find employment in the industry. In spite of many rejections, she eventually improved her skills there. She believes that she wouldn't be where she is today if the hardships in her life hadn't occurred.
When asked about her accomplishments, Richisha says she felt accomplished when her school invited her to be the chief guest at a function. She said that was a precious moment for her. Richisha continues by describing another significant accomplishment of hers: meeting and interviewing Sachin Tendulkar, her favorite cricket star.
When asked what she enjoys most about her career, Richisha replies meeting new people and always looking good on camera are her top two favorites.
When asked about her role models, Richisha says she looks up to her parents as role models since they have always demonstrated virtue and diligence. She says she learned to respect even one rupee and the importance of every task from her parents. She also considers Sachin Tendulkar as a role model because of his passion for the game and his country, as well as his persistence in playing despite pain to support his team.
Richisha says she thinks a person's development and success depend on both experience and education. According to her, the importance of both in one's life is determined by perspective and career choice. She also believes that achieving success in your field through work experience will be more beneficial than achieving academic success through college.
Richisha describes her time during COVID as enjoyable since it gave her more family time because she doesn't get much of it due to her work.
Richsiha says that when she has free time, she enjoys drinking green tea and spending time with her family. She relishes exploring new places and taking trips, and so, she never misses any of her outdoor shoots.
Richisha advises aspiring actors and anchors to practice more in front of a mirror in order to gain the self-assurance and interpersonal skills necessary for working in front of the camera. She encourages young aspirants to join the theater to gain real-world experience. In addition, if they don't have any industry godfathers, she advises every newcomer to give as many auditions as they can each day to catch the casting director's attention.
