An interior designer, Reshma became a successful businesswoman in the field of clothing and desires to take her business to newer heights.

Reshma Joshi is a Co-Founder at Gavaksha clothing. By education, she is an interior designer. She has also done a course in electronics and communication.

Reshma was born and brought up in Pune. Since childhood, she was very much interested in dressing up and in her appearance. She decided to start a special clothing brand. But due to some circumstances, she joined an interior designing course.

Sharing her childhood memories, Reshma says that she was always scolded by her family members for taking more time in choosing her dresses. Now her family members are proud of her achievements.

Talking about her entry into the field of clothing, Reshma says that when her son was very small she started a small venture. She started getting success and then with the support of the internet, she collected the technical details about the fabrics and started this business.

When asked about struggles in her life, Reshma says that initially, she was unaware of tailoring rates. Many people manipulated her and it was a bad experience for her.

If a Time Machine is given to her, Reshma would like to go back in time and do a course in fashion designing or textile designing to make her business easier.

Sharing her Covid experience, Reshma says that the pandemic was a major eye-opener for her. She worked hard to launch her website and focused on online business. She used her time positively and grabbed the opportunity to reach out to as many clients as she could.

Reshma's views regarding education and experience are that there should be a combination of education and experience in life. She also advocates having practical knowledge in every field.

Sharing about achievements in her life, Reshma says that most of her old employees are happy and continuing their jobs with her. A number of new team members are also getting added continuously. The success of this teamwork is her achievement, says Reshma.

When asked about role models in her life, Reshma says that her father is her role model because he always motivated her to think beyond and plan properly. She also considers her husband as her role model as without his support she would have achieved nothing.

In her free time, Reshma likes to stay with her son. She also likes traveling, trekking and being with her family.

To the newcomers in this field, Reshma suggests that they should have a clear vision, faith and confidence to achieve success.

Reshma's success mantra is consistency, patience and creativity. Creativity is the soul of her entire process of business, she says.
