Continuing her exploration with regard to her career, Reet is all set to embark on her new journey in New York.

Reet Bolia hails from Udaipur. She did her Bachelor in Business Management Studies from Jai Hind College in Mumbai. She is aiming to broaden her horizons and with that aim in her mind she will be going to New York to pursue her Masters in Media Management.

Talking about her childhood, Reet shares that she was a shy kid. She would not associate much with other children. She would just sit and watch other kids play. Her childhood was very spontaneous and joyous. Reet shares an incident from her childhood. On one occasion she lied to her parents and went to Fateh Sagar Lake along with her friends riding a scooty. Next day her photo with some policemen chasing her for breaking traffic rules featured in a local newspaper. She shares that her father, discounting all her other achievements, framed that photograph and kept it in his office.

Reet struggled with regard to making her career choices. She always liked helping others and thought of becoming a teacher. But she was a little skeptical whether a career in teaching would monetarily be that rewarding. Besides, she was also interested in media and entertainment. She had a discussion with her father and decided that she would pursue BMS. But when she started pursuing BMS, she realised her heart lies elsewhere. She struggled to keep a pace with her degree course.

Reet believes that your role model is someone who exudes qualities that you don’t have and you want to have those qualities in you as well. She considers her father a role model. She says that her father is very hard working and follows his heart at all times.

Reet says that Covid gave her time to reflect on herself to know herself better. It was a mixed period for her.

If Reet could time travel, she would want to go into the past and would tell her younger self to be more confident and do whatever she wanted to do, be it debates or being on the stage, as at the end of the day it’s just your opinion about you that counts.

To anyone who is aspiring to pursue an MBA or any other degree, Reet advises that if you already know what field you’re good in or which domain you want to pursue your MBA in then that's great. But if you still don’t know your field of interest, just hang in there, keep exploring and you will get the clarity with time.

To unwind, Reet likes to listen to music and binge watch movies. Besides, she likes to play badminton and socialise with people. She also likes to spend time with her grandmother, parents and her pet dog.

Reet advises everyone that everytime you feel low in your life, just pick yourself up. It’s all in your mind and nobody is thinking anything about you.
