Ravi Madavi dared to follow his passion and has worked hard to manifest his dream of becoming a Tattoo Artist.

Ravi Madavi is a Tattoo Artist at the Mirror Tattoo Studio. Along with it, he also provides tattoo art training. He has been in the field for about nine years now.

Ravi Madavi hails from the city of Nagpur. Originally, he was born and brought up in a village called Vani. After completing his schooling, he did a diploma course in Fashion Designing.

After completing his diploma course, Ravi got a job in Bangalore. Then gradually his interest drove him to the field of tattooing.

Talking about the struggles he initially had to face as a Tattoo artist, Ravi says that this career option was difficult to take as it is not taken seriously by people and the artists are deemed to be amateurs, as tattooing is still a growing field in India. He says people don’t show faith in Tattoo artists and thus the artists are not adequately respected or recognised. He says that he too had to work hard for eight to nine years before gaining decent enough recognition.

Ravi considers himself to be his role model. He says that you have to have faith in yourself to grow in life and inspire others. When it comes to learning the essentials of business, he looks up to Mr. Vikas and Sunny Bhanushali.

Talking about his experience of the COVID period, Ravi says that initially he rejoiced that he would get to visit her mother and spend quality time with her. But as the days passed on, the lockdown started taking a toll on his mental health. So to cope with that, he took to reading books. Gradually, reading became his favorite hobby and he started reading more and more, which proved beneficial for him and his business when the lockdown was lifted. He believes that, unusually enough, apparently the lockdown proved to be beneficial for him.

Ravi advises aspiring Tattoo artists to inculcate patience, passion, and the quality of hard work into them to become successful. He also says that the newcomers to the field should be more humble and should try to learn from the senior artists. He also emphasizes the importance of taking part in workshops for newcomers.

Ravi says that one good thing about the field of Tattooing is that in this profession, you are not judged by your caste, your degrees, or your looks but only on your talent and hard work. He says that as tattooing is a growing field in India, it carries immense scope in it for newcomers.

In his free time, Ravi likes to watch TV, go for a walk, hit the gym, socialize with people, and read books to keep him fit and refreshed. He also likes dancing and playing cricket.
