Assistant Governor Rashmi Tongya has transformed her family's legacy of service into a lifelong mission through Rotary. Through Rotary and the JITO Ladies Wing, she continues to touch lives with compassion, leadership, and dedication. Her mission is to inspire more people to serve society with sincerity and purpose.

Rashmi Tongya is serving as the Assistant Governor and a Charter Member of the Rotary Club of Bhopal Shahpura for the Rotary year 2026–27. She has also been actively associated with several Jain organizations, contributing to various social and community initiatives.

Her association with Rotary began in 2012, and since then, she has been consistently fulfilling her social responsibilities through service and community development. Along with her Rotary commitments, Rashmi Tongya serves as the Zonal Chairperson of a social organization and is also actively associated with the JITO Ladies Wing, a platform dedicated to the holistic development and empowerment of Jain women, where she continues to support and promote social welfare initiatives.

Rotarian Rashmi Tongya shares that social service has always been an integral part of her family's values. Her father, Manohar Lal Tongya, is an active social worker, while her elder brother, Narendra Tongya, has served as a Past District Governor (PDG) in Rotary. Her husband also served as the District Governor for the Rotary year 2022–23. For more than 25 years, the entire Tongya family has remained dedicated to serving society, making community service a cherished family tradition.

Born and brought up in Karauli, Rajasthan, Rashmi Tongya completed her graduation from Government College, Karauli (if this is the official institution name). She shares that she was raised in a well-to-do family, and it was from her father that she inherited the values of compassion, kindness, and a spirit of selfless service.

Rashmi Tongya also shares that, as her husband served as a Rotary District Governor, she had the opportunity to meet many renowned personalities, including an RI Director. Tongya says she was deeply inspired by Past Rotary Trustee Dr. Bharat Pandya. His simplicity, dedication to service, and humble nature have left a lasting impression on her.

Talking about her inspiration, Assistant Governor of the Rotary Club of Bhopal Shahpura, Rashmi Tongya, shares that during the 2022–23 Rotary year, while visiting numerous clubs across Rotary District 3040, she observed that many individuals had dedicated their entire lives to social service. Witnessing their commitment further inspired her to serve society with even greater dedication.

The line, "जो दूसरों के लिए जीता है, वही सच्चा जीवन होता है।", is one that Rashmi Tongya holds close to her heart. She says that this thought inspires her to continue serving society and motivates her on her journey of social service.

When asked about the challenges in her life, Rashmi Tongya says that she does not view them as challenges. Instead, she feels grateful that, because of her family's support and values, she has had the opportunity to serve society. She considers this an opportunity rather than a challenge and feels privileged to contribute to the welfare of others.

On a concluding note, social worker Rashmi Tongya encourages everyone to join Rotary with a sincere and open mind. She says that Rotary provides an opportunity to connect with more than 1.2 million members worldwide who become like an extended family. It also offers countless opportunities to serve society while providing a vast platform for leadership development.
