Rani Kumar Sharma is a Consultant Dietitian based in Ranchi, Jharkhand. She did her graduation and masters from Ranchi Women’s College. She started her career as an intern and went on to handle more than 1000 happy clients. Her clients’ positive feedback encourages her to help more and more people through her diet plans.
When asked how she decided to be a Dietitian, Rani says that after completing her schooling, her elder sister advised her to pursue this field. Thereafter, she explored various colleges and finally took admission into Ranchi Women’s College. She says that she felt very uninterested in the early days of her college, however, gradually she started developing interest in the field after exploring that she can treat patients with a healthy diet and natural tips.
Talking about the mistakes she has committed, Rani says that she was studying with no interest in the initial years of her graduation which was her mistake. Further, she adds that she made many mistakes in her training, however, she learned from her mistakes and is implementing her learnings in order to grow.
Speaking about the importance of diet in day-to-day life, Rani responds by giving the example of Covid times when people did not take care of their eating habits and ultimately faced issues with their health. Further, she advises people to follow a balanced diet in order to stay healthy and fight diseases.
Regarding her achievements, Rani says that her biggest accomplishment is being a gold medalist in her graduation. She qualified NET exam two times with her knowledge and she has more than 2000 patients as of now which she considers as her achievements.
Speaking about her role models, Rani says that her mother has always motivated her to achieve more and more in her life. Therefore, she considers her mother as her role model.
When free, Rani loves to sing songs and dance. She is also a writer and publishes all her writing on her Facebook page named Rani Creation.
Speaking about dealing with mental stress, Rani says that overthinking has a lot to do with stress and anxiety. Therefore, she says that writing your thoughts on a paper will help you deal with stress. Also, Yoga and meditation are great healers, she says.
Rani advises people to lead a simple life and follow a set routine. Further, she says that doing physical activity is very important for healthy living. To the people who want to become a dietitian, Rani says that doing a complete course and appropriate practice will help you achieve a better career in this field.
