Ramprapanna Bhattacharya is a Sitarist and a Surbahar player.

Belonging to Kolkata, he is currently residing in Hyderabad. He fondly recounts his initiation into the realm of Sitar under his father's tutelage, as his family was deeply rooted in the arts.

Encouraged by his parents to balance academic rigor with artistic expression, he underwent formal training from Pt. Kashinath Mukherjee. He learned a few music compositions from Pt. Arvind Parikh and Pt. Sumitra Lahiri for a while. Though he is adept at both Sitar and Surbahar, his primary focus remains on the sitar. Concurrently, he is also engaged in the IT sector and has worked with companies like TCS, Cognizant, and Oracle.

Recalling his childhood, he reminisces about his early years in Kolkata. Later, he pursued his BTech from the West Bengal University of Technology. His professional journey began at Capgemini, followed by an eight-year tenure at Tata Consultancy Services. He also spent three years in the UK. He has performed and showcased his musical talents along with his work commitments.

Acknowledging personal growth, Ramprapanna emphasizes the importance of gracefully declining unfavorable propositions and eliminating negativity from one's life. He advises everyone to give back what they receive.

Regarding his accomplishments, Ramprapanna treasures the appreciation of his audience as his foremost achievement. Striving for continuous improvement, he credits his supportive parents and nurturing family for encouraging him in his dual careers.
