Ramesh is a painter and artist working at Kalarthi Advertisers and has come a long way in life stumbling and learning to finally be where he is today.

Ramesh Chandra Salvi, born in Udaipur, had very humble beginnings as he belonged to a big family with four brothers and three sisters with not a very good financial condition in the family. He says he has struggled a lot throughout his life to be where he is and that makes him who he is today. He now has 35 years of experience. He says he takes all of his work as a challenge and whatever he is today, he is because of his work. His dad used to serve in the Rajkiya Seva but wasn’t paid very well as he did not have a very good post. His eldest son works with computer hardware and on the contrary, his younger son suffers from a mental illness.

Ramesh was so inspired to do his work that even after not getting paid while he was still learning, he continued to do his job with utmost dedication and passion. That has helped him climb the ladder of success in his early days.

He says for a guy like him to learn, when you don’t know art at all - from scratch - he had to go through a lot of hardships. For 3-4 years, he was just a helper and it took him 5 years to learn the job. Although he was a commerce student his interest was always in the field of arts and painting. His friend always motivated him to do what he desires and helped him learn too.

Going back in time, he says he always wanted to join the Indian Defence Force as a youngster but he had no guidance. He says he has struggled a lot and stumbled upon many stones of hardship in his life. He worked as an electrician, mechanic, tailor before finally sticking to painting. He says he kept going back and forth just like waves to the shore before finalizing that art is where he belongs.

His advice for youngsters is that if you have to work in his field, that is, painting and arts, interest and dedication towards learning and working is a must. Life is always full of sacrifices, be it monetary or other, but if you’re persistent, you’ll get through.

My main motto in life has been the saying - जब जागो तब सवेरा|

He thinks in life you should always be in the pursuit of what interests you. Be it any subject, whether science, commerce, or arts, you should always only do what your heart says. Talking about his free time he said he likes to spend his time with his family and whenever he gets free from work early he loves to read the newspaper. Sometimes even twice! He loves to go on trips with his family and spends time with his granddaughter.
