Ramdayal Shastri is a second-grade retired teacher in Pushkar.
Born in Kasumbi, Nagpur, Ramdayal completed his education at Sri Rama Vaikunth Sanskrit PG College.
When asked about his role models, Ramdayal says during his education he was inspired by his professor Damodar and learned a lot from him. He also established a charitable trust in the memory of his late professor.
Sharing his COVID-19 pandemic experience, Ramdayal says he went to Jaipur with his wife to meet his son and the lockdown was imposed due to which he couldn't come back to his home. However, it was also good for him that he got a chance to celebrate Navratri with his family.
Ramdayal says he also built a temple in his village with the support of his friends and village members which is an achievement for him.
Advising the younger generation, Ramdayal says one should wake up early and greet parents by touching their feet. Meditating and praying to God also helps to live a peaceful life.
Ramdayal believes, along with education, it is also necessary to conserve and follow our culture and rituals.
