Ram Babu was determined to become a doctor, but destiny took him down a different path, and he came into the teaching profession. He believes that teachers must help and guide their students to shape up their career paths.

Ram Babu Gupta is a Principal at Government Sr. Sec. School. He has been in the teaching field for the past 19 years, and currently he has been working as a principal since 2015.

Ram Babu was born in Mandawar, Rajasthan.

Recalling his childhood, Ram Babu says that, when he was a child, as soon as he came back from school, he used to run back to play with his friends. He remembers swimming in the river. He says that the environment of those days was pure and tension-free, which is not possible for today's generation.

Ram Babu shares that he did his early schooling till the fifth standard at his village school. Thereafter, he moved to Jaipur with his brother to pursue further education, and he did his higher schooling and college in Jaipur. He did his BSc from Maharaja College and his MSc from Rajasthan University.

He aspired to become a doctor and prepared for the entrance exams too, but even after studying hard, he could not clear the entrance exam. Then he decided to pursue the field of teaching and did a BEd and then an MSc. Soon after, he got appointed as a senior teacher in the 2nd grade. But he did not stop there; he qualified for the RPSC and got promoted as a lecturer. He takes pride in being the fifth-ranked student among 103 students.

Ram Babu believes that if students in government schools are provided with a healthy environment, they can do much better. When he came to know that one of his students had become an IAS officer, and is now posted as a joint secretary with the government, it was a proud moment for him. He claims, many of his students have become doctors.

To all the upcoming teachers, Ram Babu advises them to be honest in their profession and make full use of their abilities.
