Rakesh has been teaching engineering students in his unique simple but smart style. While teaching, he tries to focus more on the practical aspects of Structural Engineering.

Rakesh Yadav is an Assistant Professor of Civil Engineering at the Techno India NJR Institute of Technology in Udaipur. He has been working there for the last four years.

Rakesh did his schooling from Vidya Niketan school and then did a Diploma from Vidya Bhawan in Udaipur. Later, he completed B.Tech in Structural Engineering from College of Technology and Agricultural Engineering, Udaipur and also did his masters from there.

After completing his education he worked at B.L.Mantri and Associates to gain some field experience. Later he also worked in a company in Udaipur. He acquired good field experience by working on different projects. He learnt all the practical aspects of structural engineering.

Rakesh says that at Techno India they focus mainly on practical aspects of engineering and organise many activities for the students like Survey Camps, Advanced Instruments training and teaching about advanced tools.

Rakesh considers his elder brother as his role model. He has learnt many practical aspects of business and earning from his elder brother. He is also inspired by one of his consultants at Jaipur who trained him in several practical aspects of engineering.

To the students, his advice is that they should focus on the basics. They should also decide their aims and then strive hard to achieve them. He says there are many options after doing engineering like government jobs, private jobs and running your own consultancy.

During Covid times, Rakesh says they learnt how to make teaching and studying smart by the use of online teaching technologies. He feels online studying extended the scope of studies.

Rakesh’s style of teaching is simple. He maintains strict discipline with the students initially and gradually eases it afterwards. He works on the weaknesses of the students.

In his free time, Rakesh likes to play with his kids.
