Rakesh Kumar Gupta is a Yoga Instructor and Physiotherapist. Throughout his career, he has worked across various government departments, private organizations, and as an independent practitioner.
Hailing from Ranchi, he completed his graduation in Delhi and pursued his post-graduation in Haridwar, Uttarakhand.
Recalling his childhood, Rakesh says that he belonged to a middle-class family. Eager to carve his own path, he left his home and ventured out on his own.
Rakesh shares his passion for leading a healthy lifestyle. While he initially aspired to join the defense services, fate led him towards a career in yoga, following a friend's suggestion. Leveraging his existing knowledge of yoga, he focused on expanding his clientele, which has proven fruitful over time.
Acknowledging his past shortcomings, he admits to being overly trusting and emotional. However, he has since learned to maintain a healthy distance from others, particularly after experiencing betrayal from an assistant. This setback prompted him to work independently, emphasizing the importance of learning from mistakes and moving forward.
Speaking about his challenges, he recalls a period when he faced a fractured right hand requiring surgery. Despite initial doubts about recovery, he found solace and motivation in his mother's encouragement. Due to his dedication and practice, his hand healed remarkably well after the surgery, earning praise even from medical professionals. Grateful for his robust health as a yoga instructor, he emphasizes the benefits of maintaining high immunity and avoiding illnesses, even at the age of 49. His routine starts with waking up early in the morning, practicing yoga and giving classes all day.
Regarding his accomplishments, he highlights his involvement with various schools and institutions, underscoring the satisfaction and trust garnered from his clients and students as his most significant achievements.
When asked about his role models, he fondly names his mother, crediting his parents for his achievements.
Rakesh lives by the mantra of "Live and let live," advocating a philosophy of mutual respect and harmony.
