Rakesh is an Udaipurite who grew up in the narrow lanes of the city of lakes. His professional journey started in 2009 at a commercial vehicle company as a sales executive fresher. As a fresher, he faced the natural hurdles and learned through them. Then he progressed onto Maruti Suzuki. Hyundai was next before circling back to the Maruti Showroom as a team leader. The challenges in his journey included different working styles, knowing different sets of people, and ways of communication with varied customers.
Rakesh recalls that as a kid, he was outgoing and had lots of friends. He liked to make new friends and learn something new from each one of them. Sharing his covid experience, he says that the positives included the company’s support and the negatives were the loss of savings. However, he liked family time.
Rakesh likes to travel, play volleyball, hang out with his friends, and try different local cuisines during his free time.
Rakesh mentions his three gurus; his teacher, Mr Anil Ji, his father for his patience, and his elder sister. Moreover, expressing his views on leadership, he believes that a leader should work as a team, avoid favouritism, and strive for quality work.
If given a time machine, he’d like to go back to the past and pursue engineering. He likes to listen to EDM music and other mood-derived music genres. One of his favourite songs is ‘Padharo mhare des”.
