Rajveer Singh Jhala has been continuing his father's legacy and business by successfully managing three hotels in Udaipur.

Rajveer Singh Jhala is the owner of three hotels in Udaipur, namely, Raj Palace, Raj Nivas and Raj Kuber. Along with that, he is also a sports enthusiast and is a professional Polo player.

Rajveer Singh Jhala was born and brought up in Jhadol, a village near Udaipur. He did his schooling from Mayo College, Ajmer, which was a boarding school. He graduated from Delhi University.

Rajveer returned to Udaipur in 2016. He wanted to pursue a career in the sports field or in the army, but considering his father’s old age, he decided to get into the family business. Interestingly, he was born in the hotel only and also resides there. So he is familiar with the know-hows of the hotel business. His father, who was also a professor in B.N. College, started all the three hotels and after retirement, he passed them on to his two sons.

During the COVID pandemic, the hospitality industry suffered the most and Rajveer’s business was no different. However, he says, there was a good part to it too, that he finally got to spend time with his family. Although his employees did suffer and he is trying to help them in any way he can.

To the people who are working in the hotel industry, Rajveer says that no job in this industry is petty and you should not feel shame in doing it. He says that he leads by example and has even washed utensils and did cleaning jobs for his hotel to inspire his staff members. This is a value that his father has taught him and he still abides by it. He also clears a misconception for the people working in the hotel industry. He says many people think it is very easy to sit back and let the hotel run itself. Rajveer says, it doesn’t work that way; working in the hotel line is one of the most exhausting and consuming jobs.

Rajveer looks up to his elder brother for inspiration. His elder brother has been with him at Mayo Boarding School and also in the Delhi University. Rajveer followed his footsteps everywhere, from joining sports to even deciding which college to join, his brother has been a shining example for him.

If Rajveer could go back in time, he would want to relive his childhood days when he used to live in his village and roamed around carefree with friends.

Apart from his hotel business, Rajveer likes to spend time in his stable, taking care of his horses and riding them. He says that it is a soothing time for him in the stable.

Rajveer’s father is a role model for many and a respected member of the community, so he says that he tries to live up to his father’s name and try his best.
